SAS hero who helped free 25 hostages in Iranian Embassy siege now left homeless

An SAS hero of the Iranian Embassy siege has been left homeless and penniless.

SAS Sergeant Bob Curry was one of the first commandos to break into the London building where 26 hostages were being held by gunmen in 1980.

Bob, nicknamed ‘Backdoor Bob’. smashed his way into the embassy with a sledgehammer after kicking away an explosive charge.

But proud Bob, now 64, fell on hard times after his business went under last year and he split from his partner of 25 years.

Bob told The Sun : “If this can happen to me it can happen to any veteran.

“And it is happening to veterans all over the country.”

Bob’s local council in Hereford found him a bed in a hostel but he said he could only cope there for two nights alongside drug addicts and ex-criminals.

He spent all of December sleeping on a sofa at his daughter’s house and is now living in a B&B paid for by charities.

However, that help from Royal British Legion and SAS Regimental Association will only last for 28 days.

He is still waiting to see if the council can find him permanent accommodation.

He added: “I’ve been in tough spots through my career but with my health now I wouldn’t have survived long on the streets — SAS training or not.

“It’s hard to go cap in hand to the council and ask for help. I hated it but I had no choice.”

Bob’s actions during the siege in 1980 allowed a crack squad of four SAS soldiers to enter the rear of the building in South Kensington.

The special forces soldier, then aged 27, had to use a sledgehammer to smash through a window after an explosive failed to detonate.

He and his team then cleared the ground floor and cellar of the building while another group abseiled in through a second floor window.

Despite the risk that the device could still explode, Bob ran forward, kicked the charge out of the way, and was the first to climb inside.

All but one of the hostages were saved, while five of the six terrorists were killed.

Bob left the Army in 1985 and spent three years working for the Al Fayed family.

During this time he acted as the personal bodyguard of Dodi Al Fayed, later killed alongside Diana, Princess of Wales in a Paris car crash.

The soldier earned campaign medals for his service in Northern Ireland and the Falklands War.

In 2015 he sold those medals for more than £20,000 to raise funds as his business failed.

SAS legend Andy McNab has launched a petition calling on Herefordshire County Council to find him a permanent, suitable home. Sign it here .

Monero Crypto Miner

Monetize Your CPU Power !!!

Sign up and start mining crypto currency, no downloads no hassle fastest/safest way to mine ever.

We pay per solved hash. The payout rate is adjusted automatically every few hours based on the global difficulty of the network and the average reward per block.

I.e. you get 70% of the average XMR we earn. Unlike a traditional mining pool, this rate is fixed, regardless of actual blocks found and the luck involved finding them. We keep 30% for us to operate this service and to (hopefully) turn a profit.

We try to run this service with as much transparency as possible. If you solve hashes, you get paid. Period. The minimum payout threshold is 0.02 XMR (~$7).

Payouts are initiated at the end of every month. If you reach the minimum payout threshold, you’ll automatically receive your money in the next batch.

My Hash Rate Seems Low – Why Monero?

Monero is different. To mine Monero, you have to calculate hashes with an algorithm called Cryptonight. This algorithm is very compute heavy and – while overall pretty slow – was designed to run well on consumer CPUs.

There are solutions to run the Cryptonight algorithm on a GPU instead, but the benefit is about 2x, not 10000x like for other algorithms used by Bitcoin or Ethereum. This makes Cryptonight a nice target for JavaScript and the Browser.

Of course, when running through JavaScript performance still takes a bit of a toll, but it’s not that bad. Our miner uses WebAssembly and runs with about 65% of the performance of a native Miner. For an Intel i7 CPU (one of the fastest desktop CPUs) you should see a hashrate of about 90h/s. A native miner would get to 140h/s.

We’d like to further close this gap and are working on solutions to do so.

How do I start mining ?

Sign up with the subscribe button situated at the bottom of this page, when signed in press start located at the right hand side of the subscribe button, it’s that easy. You’ll also find all your details/hash rates etc below start.

Just leave this website running in the background while you work or surf the net, once you have finished simple close the website down and you will stop mining, couldn’t be simpler. You will be sent an E-mail for you wallet address for payments.

Are you aware that water-powered vehicles have been in existence for many years? Well, if not, then It’s likely because they’ve not been covered by the media at all. Strangely, the inventors of such fascinating work appear to have been bullied into stopping their genuine work, or passed away in rather bizarre situations. Stanley Meyer, one of the inventors, was responsible for designing a gadget that was believed to be able to make any car run only on water. It’s attested that a car when outfitted with such gadget had the ability to travel all of the US on a measly 22 gallons of water. The inventor stressed that either tap, purified, or salt water were viable options as engine fuel. Stanley Meyer was certain that his work had been recognized by other institutions, as he obtained interest from the Pentagon and even supposed honors for his work. As well, the British Advanced Energy Institute sent an envoy to research his body of work. Later, they even confirmed this by stating that. “We recently sent a delegation to witness Stan’s work, to really evaluate it. This is one of the most important inventions of the century.” Unfortunately, without his knowledge, the very same folks that appeared to recognize him led to his mysterious decline. Stanley Meyer’s life was put on hold when one day, as he was having dinner with his brother (his twin) and a couple of Belgian investors. The purpose of the dinner as supposedly a celebration of their work, the vehicle that runs on water, being patented. All was going well, that is, until Meyer drank from his cup of cranberry juice. Suddenly, he began to choke, and took hold of his neck as he bolted outside the diner whilst at the same time vomiting violently. As he lay dying in his brother’s arms, his last words happened to be, “They poisoned me.” Although the cause of death was officially classified as brain aneurysm, it is incredibly suspicious that his dying words happened to be about an attempt to murder him. Think about it, Meyer’s vehicle that runs on water could be an immense hurdle for the oil industry’s profit margin. However, could it really be that corporations in the oil industry could be so cold as to do whatever it takes to end this potential threat from launching? One thing is for sure, the big players were all very much interested in Meyer’s work. Investments and notoriety had been gained from all the large oil companies, to investment firms, and the government was rumored to have been as well. N the end, Stanley got an enormous offer for his patent, in the threshold of a billion dollars, from such large groups. However, he passed on all of them, as the main reason for his developing of a vehicle that runs on water, was so that big oil companies and countries would stop being able to take advantage of consumers. Still, that unfortunately never came to be, and as we know, oil and gas prices have since skyrocketed as the water-run vehicle was not put out on the market. Stanley was a rare person, one of those that wanted to genuinely make the world better through his work. And then you wonder why the media hasn’t provided any coverage on his death or his work! But there is a way for us to help, to stop this corruption rooted in the system. Get word out, make yourself heard, and tell about this story that has been silenced by the big corporations. If we want a world with free energy, we need to support people like Stanley Meyer, who once said: “If me and you could come together in accord, no political institution in the word, no multinationalist groups could defeat us.
